Area hosts open house for local business

LOS ANGELES– Even more than 100 small-business proprietors attended an U.S. Military Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District open home to meet department chiefs and job managers Nov. 9.
The public and members of the Los Angeles Region Message of the Culture of American Military Engineers were invited to the open home throughout a local business forum and regular monthly meeting held the day prior.
“” The open residence was an extremely effective venture for both the Corps and outside professionals who pried to Corps working structure as well as performance with the neighborhood areas and sponsors (City, Region and State firms),” “stated Ed Louie, project supervisor, Civil Works Branch.
The open house happened in the District’s key meeting room and adjoining Emergency Procedures Facility. Project supervisors and also division principals had various task and program display screens as well as were available for in person conversations.
“” Much of the specialists were supplied with sales brochures of the various interdisciplinary branches of the Corps,” “included Louie. “” All were really appreciative of Col. Toy’s (Area Leader Col. Mark Plaything) invite to the open residence and also for the Corps representatives time to help with answering much of the contractor’s concerns. This is a sign with our adage: ‘Building Strong as well as Taking Treatment of Individuals.'”
